Pre/Post-DOCTORAL TRAINING PROGRAM

The Center for Pediatric Nutrition Research (CPNR) offers a 2 to 3 year pre- or post-doctoral fellowship for qualified individuals eager to develop research targeted toward nutrition, growth, and development for infants, children, and adolescents.

The CPNR uses a multi-disciplinary approach to direct or facilitate clinical and integrative studies in pediatric populations. The CPNR provides nationally recognized expertise in pediatric medicine, genetics, pharmacology, social and behavioral research design, and statistical analysis. The CPNR combines the strengths of the University of Utah School of Medicine, Colleges of Pharmacy and Nursing, Center for Translational Studies and the Department of Pediatrics with Primary Children’s Medical Center and the Utah Department of Health.

Research Programs:
Clinical and integrative studies of the biology of developmental massage therapy
Developmental origins of adult disease
Bone and body composition Laboratory

Admission Requirements Current enrollment or completion of a Ph.D in nutrition science, clinical nutrition, biochemistry, biology, biostatistics, or molecular biology. Background in pediatric nutrition preferred. Application, personal statement, transcripts, letters of recommendation (3), and interview required.
