The Division of Pediatric Critical Care provides intensive care services for children of all ages up to 21 years. Based at the
Primary Children's Medical Center and the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Division faculty admit nearly 2,000 children
per year to the 32 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the children's hospital. Services include all aspects of mechanical
ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring and support, post-operative cardiac and neurosurgical care, trauma management, and so forth.
The unit is staffed with pediatric residents, ICU fellows, and full time Board certified critical care pediatricians.
