The Division of Pediatric Inpatient Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah is seeking qualified candidates to join the faculty to provide exceptional clinical care, teaching and research at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Applicants must be Board certified or Board eligible in General Pediatrics.
The Division of Pediatric Inpatient Medicine is responsible for faculty coverage on all of the inpatient housestaff teams at Primary Children’s Medical Center as well as Attending coverage on a Hospitalist team in cooperation with nurse practitioners. In addition, faculty are closely involved in creation, implementation and evaluation of multidisciplinary care process models aimed at improving communication and patient care.
Division members also are actively involved in the majority of medical student and resident teaching in the inpatient setting. Interested applicants must demonstrate a strong desire for exemplary teaching.
Although this is a clinical appointment, opportunities exist to conduct research in a variety of areas including education, outcomes/quality improvement, medical informatics and clinical projects. Faculty are encouraged to development relationships within the Department and with other Departments and Colleges to foster research through collaboration.
