University Health Care
Pediatric Residency Program Department of Pediatrics

Application Process

All Categorical, Medicine/Pediatrics, and Triple Board applications should be directed through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) which transmits residency applications, letters of recommendation, Dean’s Letters, transcripts, and other supporting credentials to residency program directors using the internet. Physicians or students interested in the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center may access ERAS through the dean’s office of their medical school. International Medical Graduates should apply through the ECFMG office.

Except for unusual circumstances, all University of Utah PL-1 positions are filled through the NRMP (National Resident Matching Program).

The Categorical Pediatrics, Medicine/Pediatrics, Preliminary, and Triple Board programs each have separate NRMP match numbers. Prospective applicants to the Child Neurology must apply through ERAS to the categorical Pediatrics program and register with the San Francisco Match.
